Life is very uncertain. No one knows what will happen in future. We all focus on the present to make the future bright and prosperous.
Sometimes destiny thinks in some different way. My learning from life is, live present wholeheartedly.
I am not saying do not plan for the future but to make the future do not waste the present. Instead of becoming Robot, programmed to do certain predefined tasks, enjoy life too. It is short and unpredictable.
I was also same as most of the male counterpart in a family. Instead of giving time to family, invested more at the work front to avail physical things and making future prosperous. That hard-earned money could not able to give a few more years to her. I never planned a balanced life between work and family. I took the family for granted. On the family front, I am a big loser.
Apart from some special days like Birthdays or Anniversaries, rarely planned or celebrated the life. Not because of financial reasons but because of official responsibilities (which never ended) to celebrate vacation with family.
If big things were not possible then too never cheered the life for many small things which never asked for money or time.
